It’s not too late to apply to a university for next fall. The University of Washington Tacoma transfer deadline is coming up on Friday, April 15th. Here are the details:
Deadline
The priority deadline for fall 2012 transfer admission to the University of Washington Tacoma is April 15! Applications will continue to be accepted after April 15 on a space-available basis only. See http://www.tacoma.uw.edu/admissions/international-students/requirements-checklist for how to apply as an international transfer student. International transfer students can meet the English Proficiency Requirement for general admission based on 90 college credits completed plus a 2.75 overall GPA and a 3.0 average in two English composition courses.
Majors
UW Tacoma offers many majors including Business (including Accounting, Finance, Marketing, International Business), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Urban Studies, Environmental Science, Communications, Psychology, Global Studies and many more. Business Major Admission
Students applying to the Milgard School of Business must also submit a separate business major application in addition to the general admission application. The deadline is also April 15 for fall 2012 business major admission. Remember, for international students UW Tacoma’s business school will accept qualifying TOEFL (83 or above) or IELTS scores (6.5 or above) as an alternative to the Writing Skills Assessment (WSA). Scholarships
Merit scholarships are available to international students in all majors who join the Global Honors program (transfer GPA of 3.5 or above required to apply). Many merit scholarships are also available to students admitted to the Milgard School of Business. On-Campus Housing
Apartment-style on-campus housing is offered and the priority deadline to apply is April 15. Students should complete the easy on-line application and submit a non-refundable $10 application fee to secure a spot in on-campus housing for fall.
A host family program is also available, and UW Tacoma is located downtown with many other affordable off-campus housing options close by.
